Recently it has announced the appointment of Julia A Simon as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at the global headquarters of the company in Addison, Texas.
What has been the qualification and experience of Julia A Simon?
- Simon earned a bachelor degree from the Texas A & M University in 1989.
- She took her law degree from the University Of Texas School Of Law in 1991.
- She initially joined Mary Kay Inc. in 1995, as an employment lawyer.
- Then she left, to join the law firm Locke Purnell Rain Harrell. Here she was elected as a partner in 1998.
- In 2000, Simon returned to Mary Kay Inc. and served as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary.
- She has an experience of 25 years in private law practice and in-house positions.
- In the year 2015, Simon was recognized as Outstanding Deputy General Counsel by the Association of Corporate Counsel and D CEO Magazine.
What will be her role in the Mary Kay Inc.?
- As a member of the executive Committee, Simon will be managing all the aspects of the company inculcating legal, risk management, corporate social responsibility functions and corporate communications.
Presently she is active in the legal community in North Texas. She has served on the board of Directors for charitable organizations. The organizations include the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Friends of the Dallas Public Library, Dallas Zoological Society and the Family Gateway.
